There are many historically significant attractions on the islands. The Spanish Wall, the Catholic Bell Tower in Pohnpei, the Japanese Wartime Communication Centre at Xavier High School in Chuuk, the ancient ruins of Nan Madol in Pohnpei, and the ruins of INSARU in Kosrae are some of the most visited attractions.
Pohnpei is home to some magnificent waterfalls and beautiful pools at Kepirohi and Sahwartik. The Liduduhniap Twin Waterfalls on the Nanpil River are equally breathtaking.
Diving at Atoll, Pakin Atoll and Black Coral in Pohmpei State and exploring the coral reefs at Kosrae are unforgettable experiences. The state of Chuuk contains the famous Truk Lagoon, where a whole Japanese fleet was sunk during World War II. More than 50 wrecks can be seen, some in shallower waters suitable for snorkelers.
For the adventurous, a climb up the Sokehs Mountain offers rewarding views of Sokehs rock and Kolonia harbour.
