Tucson has many popular festivals that attract tourists. If you visit in February, you can be part of the Fiesta de Los Vaqueros or rodeo week, and the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show which is the largest of its kind in the world. The All Souls Procession is held on the first Sunday of November and combines a wide mix of cultures and quaint costumes used in the processions.
Visit the old St. Augustine Cathedral, the 23-storey Bank Building (the tallest building in Tucson), the Pima Air & Space Museum (which has over 250 modern and older aircrafts on display) and the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum which is a desert species zoo.
Ski down the slopes of the majestic 2,800-m Mount Lemmon, which is the highest point of the Santa Catalina Mountains, or go off-road motorcycling up the back part of the mountain.
Don’t forget to catch a show at the Rialto Theatre, and end your sightseeing at the charming Saguaro National Park and the Tucson Botanical Gardens.
