Northern Wales is dominated by the mountain range of Snowdonia, which is also the second largest national park in Britain. The other national park in Britain is the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. It is the smallest park in England and Wales, but is the perfect starting point for a visit to St David’s town. The park also houses the magnificent castle at Carew and the Castell Henllys which is a scheduled ancient monument. The third of Wales’s National Parks is Brecon Beacon, which is a harmonious blend of human history and natural beauty.
Cardiff has several sites which must be visited, like the Cardiff Castle, Llandaff Cathedral and National Museum of Welsh Life.
Wales has more top-rated beaches than anywhere else in Britain. It has 41 blue flag beaches with Barafundle Bay, Pembrokeshire, recently winning an award for Britain’s Best Beach. These beaches allow visitors to engage in some exciting water sports like snorkelling etc.
