Monaco : Health and Safety

No immunizations are necessary for travel to Monaco as there are no major health risks. Travellers visiting from November through to April are recommended to have an influenza vaccination. The standards of the medical facilities are on par with international standards and the costs are quite high. It is advisable to carry enough personal medication and medical insurance is recommended.

Even though Monaco has a low crime rate, travellers should maintain some amount of caution. Petty crimes like theft are common and travellers are advised to make photocopies of travel documents and keep them separate from the originals. Cases of bags being stolen by thieves on motorcycles have been reported. The loss of theft of any important document should immediately be reported to the respective embassy. Travellers are advised not to venture all alone in the dark.
