Fermanagh Lakelands is a region in the Ulster Province of Northern Ireland. Often referred to as Irelands Lake District for its vast stretches of beautiful lakes, Fermanagh Lakelands has an approximate populace of 60,000 people. This magical place consists of magnificent waterways, picturesque scenery, forests and castles.

Characterised by a temperate climate, the region has mild temperatures in all seasons. Summers are highly moderate while winters are cold with light snowfall. Violent winds with irregular showers are a common phenomenon.

Historically, the region was ruled by the Maguire kingdom and developed under its reign. The serene lakes helped the region become a famous tourist destination. Today, the populace follows agriculture, farming and tourism as their main occupations.
