Tourists visiting Prague must pay attention while exchanging money. One should never exchange money on the streets. People offering currency exchange on the streets are constantly trying to con travellers. Incidents have been reported where tourists have exchanged considerable amounts of money for counterfeit money. 

Travellers must also take care while crossing busy streets. There are traffic signals on most of the streets. However, some remain green only for a few seconds. It is extremely difficult to cross the roads in such a short period of time. Despite this, police show no mercy if you cross when the red light is flashing.

To be on the safe side, travellers should avoid going out during late night hours. Incidences of pick pocketing and robberies are regular after dark.
