Pendakomo, in Cyprus, is a village located 22 km from the city of Limassol. The climate here is typically Mediterranean. Summers are hot and dry and the winters are warm and wet. Spring is the best time to visit with temperatures around 24°C.
Several residents were displaced from Pendakomo after the Turkish Invasion. Turkish-Cypriots fled the village and moved north. Displaced Greek-Cypriots settled in these abandoned houses. Today, the population is only around 540.
Olive trees, locust trees, a few winemaking vines and citrus trees are cultivated in the area. A large portion of the area is still uncultivated. These areas are thick with natural flora like lentisks, wild olive and locust trees.
Folklore says that the village was named after the fact that it was the fifth village east of the city of Limassol.
