Sant Julia de Loria is the sixth parish in the Principality of Andorra. The city is situated on the banks of the Gran Valira and stands at a height of 909 metres above sea level.
The city is also an important tourist centre. Spectacular landscapes and a striking series of churches and small chapels adorn the province. The place is characterized by temperate climate, with warm summers and cold winters.
Earlier known as Lauredia, Sant Julia de Loria has an illustrious history, as is evident by the discovery of ancient Iberian and Roman coins from here. Many ancient buildings with traditional Romanesque architecture add to the Gothic feel of the place.
The economy of Sant Julia de Loria is primarily supported by the tobacco industry. The city has numerous factories manufacturing the famous Andorran tobacco.
