The parish of La Massana lies in the northwest of Andorra. Situated at a height of 1.24 metres above the sea level, it embraces Comapedrosa and the Pic del Pla de l’Estany—the two highest peaks in Andorra.
La Massana is a small town and its charm lies in the amazing confluence of the old and the new. While the typical wooden rustic houses provide a glimpse into the city’s mediaeval history, the emergence of newer and modern buildings offers a glance into the futuristic planning of the city.
A city of about 6,660 inhabitants, it has a temperate climate, with warm summers and cold winters. La Massana is an important commercial centre of Andorra and is rapidly developing into a tourist spot of considerable importance, offering activities such as skiing and paragliding in winters and biking and horse riding in summers.
