South Korean food is well-known all over the world; it includes rice and soups accompanied by a few side dishes (banchan). Some of the most popular food items are barbeques, stew, noodles and dishes prepared from rice.
There are no restrictions on drinking in the country. Soju (similar to vodka), a traditional drink, is the national drink of this country and is worth trying. Rice wine, beer, sikhye, boricha, coffee and tea are the other popular drinks in South Korea.
