Monrovia is a sprawling city with several nightclubs, restaurants and bars, centred on the area around Gurley Street. There are several good sandy beaches near the city.
The Kendeja National Cultural Centre located along the Atlantic Ocean Beach, displays all aspects of tribal life, customs and traditions of Liberia. Fishing in Lake Piso and touring the Firestone Rubber Plantation can guarantee an eventful day. Visiting the Kpa-Tawe Waterfalls is also recommended.
Swimming and boating in some of the country’s beaches is a wonderful experience. Bernard’s Beach, Caesar’s Beach, Cedar Beach, Kendaje Beach, Kenema Beach and Sugar Beach are some of the popular beach destinations.
For those who love nature and wildlife, Sapo National Park is a must-visit. This untouched, pristine tract of forest land is bordered by the Sinoe River and is a great place to view a wide variety of animals and plants.
